Children's day celebrations

November 14th is observed as the children's day. It is the birthday of beloved "Chacha Nehru". This year children's day was celebrated in our school with great pomp and splendor. Many programmes were organized in our school. The school was decorated beautifully with balloons and streamers. A lot of charts about children were displayed. An attractive event of the day was "Fancy Dress" competition for the tiny tots. Miss. Oxford, the latest film character "Kunji Koonan", Jawaharlal Nehru, Sakunthala, Brahmin Priest all came in front of us. Our enjoyment knew no bounds. At the end of the program, prizes were distributed. A painting competition was also conducted in connection with this. All the paintings were displayed on the notice board. In short, the day was filled with fun and frolic. We had a great time bursting the balloons. Our teachers presented us beautiful cards and chocolates. The day also gave us a golden chance to ponder upon the teachings and wonderful experiences of India's great leader "Jawaharlal Nehru".
